CZ is one of the largest health insurers in the Netherlands, serving millions of customers. The vergoedingen platform is where those customers check what their policy covers: which treatments are reimbursed, and for how much.

I built the platform as a single-page application in React, TypeScript and SCSS, and in parallel helped develop the design system for future CZ applications.

  • Fully typed front-end in React and TypeScript, built for long-term maintainability
  • Accessibility as a hard requirement: a health insurer serves everyone, so every screen meets a11y criteria
  • Unit tested with Jest, keeping a critical customer-facing service reliable
  • Design system groundwork: guidelines for layout, typography and color that future CZ projects build on
