Ben.nl Redesign/UI Library
Visit live site →
Ben is one of the biggest budget telecom brands in the Netherlands, part of Odido (the former T-Mobile NL). For the redesign of ben.nl I was brought in to build the new UI component library.
I structured the design system on atomic design principles: atoms, molecules, organisms, templates and pages. Buttons, form elements, modals, headers and footers, all documented in Storybook so designers and stakeholders could interact with every component.
- Component library from buttons and form elements to modals, headers and footers
- Accessibility first: every component built to meet a11y criteria
- Storybook documentation with interactive controls for the whole team
- Still live today: ben.nl runs on this design system years later
Sander is a highly skilled and talented developer who delivers a good work. One of the key factors that made our collaboration a success was Sander's good communication skills. He was always prompt in responding to my emails and inquiries. This level of communication made it easy for us to work together and kept the project running smoothly. In addition to Sander's good communication skills, he also showed a remarkable ability to work independently. He was able to complete tasks efficiently and effectively without the need for constant supervision. This not only saved time and resources, but it also allowed me to focus on other aspects of the project while knowing that Sander had everything under control. Overall, I can recommend Sander as good and reliable front-end developer.
