MVP, built & launched
From idea to deployed product in a matter of weeks. Full-stack Next.js, TypeScript and Node.js, with proper attention to UI and UX, and an architecture that can handle your next few pivots.
// For founders & product teams
I'm Sander, a senior freelance React & Next.js developer in Amsterdam, available on-site or remote across the Netherlands and Europe. Full-stack engineer (NestJS, Java), with my focus on the front-end. Startups hire me to build their MVP, strengthen their team or fix a codebase that's slowing them down. I have an eye for UI and UX, and with Claude Code in my daily toolchain I ship faster than a solo developer could a few years ago. You talk directly to me and I write the code, with no agency in between.
Available for new projects · typically a 1–2 week lead time
From idea to deployed product in a matter of weeks. Full-stack Next.js, TypeScript and Node.js, with proper attention to UI and UX, and an architecture that can handle your next few pivots.
A senior developer who onboards in days and ships from the first week. I join your standups, your repo and your Slack, on-site in Amsterdam or remote.
Slow pages, risky deploys, a previous developer who left. I start with an audit, then fix the things that block your roadmap: performance, stability and tech debt.
He created impact by completely setting up a new front-end for a service that is used by 100+ internal users, well within the deadlines. I can truly recommend Sander if you need a really good FE engineer with the right attitude. He is the first I will call when I've got another assignment for him.
30 minutes, free. You explain what you're building and what you need. I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right fit, and if I'm not, I'll point you to someone who is.
Scope, timeline and cost in writing. Fixed price for scoped projects, a day rate for embedded work.
Working software every week, deployed somewhere you can click through it. Short feedback loops keep the project on course.
Documented code, typed APIs and a walkthrough for whoever maintains it next, so the project doesn't depend on me forever.
I work on a day-rate basis for team engagements and fixed proposals for scoped projects like MVPs. After a free intro call I send a written proposal with the timeline and cost, so you know what you are committing to before we start.
Typically within one to two weeks, depending on my current engagement. For codebase rescues and short audits I can often start sooner. Current availability is always listed on the contact page.
Yes. I'm based in Amsterdam and happy to work on-site or hybrid with teams in the area. For clients elsewhere in the Netherlands or abroad I work remotely, with overlap on CET hours.
Yes. I'm a full-stack engineer with a front-end focus: Next.js, TypeScript and Node.js or NestJS, from data model to deployed product. At Bol.com I also wrote backend-for-frontend services in Java and Kotlin. Recent solo deliveries include complete platforms and storefronts, see the work page for examples.
For most projects, yes. I design the UI/UX myself, from wireframe to final interface, and I'm equally comfortable building from a designer's Figma when there is one. I also build SEO landing pages: fast, structured for search engines and measured on Core Web Vitals.
Yes, daily. Claude Code writes a lot of the boilerplate, while the architecture, code review and product decisions stay with me. It means one senior developer can move at the speed of a small team. Everything that ships is reviewed, typed and tested. This website is an example: designed and built with Claude Code, and it scores 100 on Lighthouse.
With a freelancer, the person you speak to is the person who writes the code. You get direct communication, one accountable developer and far less overhead than an agency.
Often. Performance rescues, stalled rewrites, and 'our previous developer left' situations are a regular part of my work. I start with a short audit so you know exactly what you're dealing with before committing.
