Bol.com HorseUI
Bol is the largest e-commerce platform in the Netherlands. Within team Pets I built the front-end for Horse, an internal application used daily by over 100 Bol employees to manage prices, promotions, delivery times and availability of millions of products on the webshop.
I set up the complete front-end in Next.js 14 (app router), TypeScript and SCSS modules, plus a back-end for front-end in Kotlin that aggregates data from services across Bol.
- Full front-end from scratch in Next.js 14, TypeScript and SCSS modules
- Pixel-perfect screens from Figma, using Bol's internal Puik component library
- Back-end for front-end in Kotlin, fetching data from multiple internal services
- Delivered well within deadline, second iteration included, to the satisfaction of its users
Sander was with one of my teams at bol for 6 months. He was quick to onboard within the team and the tech stack and infrastructure we use. He does this by being pro-active, self reliant and easily connecting with his team. He created impact by completely setting up a new FE for a service, which is used by 100+ internal users, well within the deadlines, based on the designs of our designer and most important of all to the satisfaction of said users. Also not afraid to work on BE stuff, which shows his willingness to contribute. I can truly recommend Sander if you need a really good FE-engineer with the right attitude. He is the first I will call when I've got another assignment for him.
